As part of their water vole recovery project, Clare Pitt from BBOWT will be on site to demonstrate their efforts to catch and eradicate the invasive American mink from our region. The traps require very little management (they have a remote sensor that triggers a text message when set off) and this initiative will be essential to the Evenlode Landscape Recovery's ambitions to bring water vole and other vulnerable wildlife back to our area. The Windrush ann Cherwell catchment also have small, fragmented water vole populations hanging on some need a joined-up approach to mink trapping. Come and learn how to be part of of this initiative by hosting a trap.
