About the Event
Join us on 14th July with the Glorious Cotswold Grasslands team and Caroline Svendsen from the National Landscape's Big Chalk programme, to observe and maybe help out with seed harvesting on one of our area's precious calcareous meadows at Diddly Squat.
Chalk and limestone grasslands are among the most species-rich habitats in the UK and the Cotswolds sits at the heart of Big Chalk, a landscape-scale initiative to restore and connect these extraordinary places across southern England. This is a brilliant opportunity to see that vision in action, learn more about what it means for farms and land managers in the area, and explore practical ideas for your own holding.
It will also be great for Evenlode Landscape Recovery participants to understand what might be needed in terms of establishment, species, troubleshooting, and on-going management.
