About the Event
The Wetland Creation Grant scheme has been designed to help farmers and landowners create wetland habitat on their holdings to improve water quality, create habitat for wildlife, reduce flood risk and provide opportunities for education and recreation. We will explain the opportunities and the application process.
The workshop will explore Biodiversity Gain, a new funding opportunity for land managers that could also be used alongside the Wetland Creation Scheme for larger ambitious habitat creation projects. Your views on what information and support farmer clusters need when looking for external funding will also be explored.
Both schemes will be explained in the context of a Landscape Recovery pilot project.
