About the Event
We will summarise the achievements of our first year but more importantly, conceive plans for 2022 and beyond. The cluster has benefited many of our members already but to truly achieve on our landscape-changing vision, we need more delivered on the ground. We want to hear what you, as farmer members, want to get out of cluster activities and projects in 2022. Brownie points for those that get a neighbour to sign up! The format for the 24th is:
- a round up of 2021
- a biref, inspiring talk from a regenerative farmer
- split into 3 working groups to hear what you want the farm cluster to deliver on: i) Environmental opportunities (e.g. habitats, carbon, flood management, water quality); ii) Social opportunities (e.g. community engagement, education); Financial opportunities (e.g. accessing public and private funding).
- Sum-up of workshops and how it relates to our strategy
- If we're at FarmEd, we'll throw in lunch
Mull over it between mince pies. Think landscapes... think neighbourly... think ambitiously... think optimising margins... think stakeholders... think legacy... think species... think business resilience. We're in fast moving times demanding a shift in skills, policy, markets and social dynamics. How can the farm cluster help navigate these waters? What projects would you like to see? Who would you like to hear from? Get your thoughts together over Christmas and we'll start plotting for 2022 and beyond.
