About the Event
Join us for a morning focused on supporting farmland birds through the winter months, hosted at Macaroni Farm (GL7 3NG).
We'll begin with short presentations in the barn before heading out for a farm walk, with plenty to see on the ground. The morning will cover the habitat and management decisions farmers can make in late summer and autumn to benefit farmland birds - from seed mixes and establishment to the best spots for winter bird food - and how these can align with agri-environment schemes.
Sam Phillips at Macaroni will also share an update on his FiPL project and wider plans for the farm, which offers a great opportunity to see an ambitious and varied range of habitat work in action.
We're delighted to welcome Anna Field and Noah Walker (West Oxfordshire Farmland Bird Project) as guest speakers.
