For anyone wanting to crack on with floodplain meadows and similar water options, particularly for those along the Windrush.
The Windrush Catchment Partnership and NECFC are bidding to secure capital funding to start capital works on floodplain meadows in readiness to be funded by SFI grants (when available) or CS Higher Tier. Furthermore, the new NFM Studio modelling will inform where best to do floodplain reconnection, wetlands, river restoration, tree planting and more - all in readiness for Higher Tier. We intend to gain funding to develop concepts and feasibility studies for participating farms, whilst delivering on the floodplain meadow strategy.
