About the Event
Mink are one of the main reasons water voles have disappeared from our rivers, and for the first time there's a realistic chance of removing them for good. BBOWT has partnered with the Waterlife Recovery Trust, which has just secured major funding from Natural England's Species Recovery Fund to expand its East Anglian pilot across southern and central England — with eradication a genuine possibility within five years.
Join us on a small Cherwell farm to hear how the programme works, see a smart trap demonstrated (they ping your phone when sprung, so they're low-maintenance but need a quick response), and find out how to host one on your land. We'll also cover other Cherwell catchment projects and an update on Landscape Recovery, followed by a farm walk taking in new hedgerows, meadow restoration and habitat work.
