About the Event

You are invited to the Opportunities for Woodland Event. The event starts with a walk of the Blenheim Hordley Wood site followed by a meeting at Nicholson’s Orchard Barn North Aston for a series of talks by guest speakers:

  • Richard Pearce: Forestry Commission
  • Liz Nicholson, Niel Nicholson: Nicholsons Lockhart Garratt
  • Victoria Macnamara, Jamie Hartzell: Oxfordshire Treescapes
  • Tim Hopkin: The Land App
  • Ellen Fake, Roz Garner, Andrew Russell: Catchment Sensitive Farming
  • Edd Colbert

The speakers will cover a wide variety of topics, including sourcing public funding such as England Woodland Creation Offer, Local Nature Recovery, agroforestry, copses, benefits for water and air quality, project design and facilitation, sourcing private funding and Biodiversity Net Gain. To fuel further discussion, a lunch and refreshments will be served after the talks with opportunities to discuss further any questions you may have.
