About the Event
Join a Buglife entomologist at Cluster member Over Norton Park to better understand the needs and benefits of diverse invertebrate life on farm and how small changes to habitat management and farm practice can make a difference.
In a time when we continually hear messages of biodiversity loss, not least with our insects and pollinators, farmers, who manage around 69% of the UK are in a position to make a huge difference to current trends, but how, especially when their working days and weeks are so much longer than most? This afternoon session will involve a talk introducing pollinating insect groups (and other beneficial insects), their life cycles and habitat requirements, and how these can be incorporated into farm practices to benefit farms and wildlife.
A farm walk will then explore habitats on farm looking at invertebrates, discussing their habitat needs and the practicalities of managing these habitats well. Finally…
