About the Event
This is a small, strategic event for up to 15 farmers and landowners in the Windrush Valley. We’ll be walking John’s meadows and wetlands at their June best, hearing about his management approach and how he is looking to secure long-term funding through the Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier scheme.
The afternoon will also be an opportunity to hear from the wider Windrush partnership -NECFC, FWAG SW, Cotswolds Rivers Trust and Glorious Cotswold Grasslands about the FiPL-funded work already underway and the plans for the next three years across the catchment.
With floodplain meadow restoration, wetland creation, river restoration and natural flood management all in focus for the Windrush, this is a timely chance to see what’s possible on the ground and discuss where the valley goes next.
