AI-supported soil and nutrient management - Opportunity to be part of a Farmer-led trial
A team from the University of the West of England is putting together a project to test, under commercial farming conditions, whether an AI-supported decision tool can improve nutrient or soil-management decision in farming system. It would compare existing farm practice with AI-supported recommendations and assess fertiliser use, nutrient-use efficiency, soil health, yield and quality, gross margin and practical usability.
UWE is urgently seeking an active commercial farming business based in England to lead, alongside at least one additional UK farming business that participates and claims funding. They are therefore seeking introductions to two or three suitable member farms that:
Make operational soil and nutrient-management decisions.
Are interested in co-designing a practical field trial.
Could consider leading or participating in the funded project.
Are willing to share non-sensitive trial findings with the wider farming community.
