Beef Biosecurity Workshop

Innovation for Agriculture invite you to join an online session to discuss experiences of, and views on existing biosecurity guidance.

For anyone who was unable to attend the in person event at Cirencester Market in June this is a great opportunity to share your views, experience and join in the discussion on biosecurity guidance.

The focus group forms parts of BIOFRAME, a research project lead in the UK by the University of Nottingham and Innovation for Agriculture. The project aims to improve how biosecurity guidance is designed for and provided to animal farmers in non-intensive sectors of the industry (e.g. extensive grazing systems, low input systems). They work with farmers and vets to understand their experiences with different kinds of biosecurity guidance (such as leaflets, websites, and videos, as well as organised support schemes) and to identify what would work better for them in their farming context. This is a European supported initiative in collaboration with European partners, with the UK funding coming from Defra. The project will develop new recommendations for biosecurity guidance, based on farmer and vet input using ‘co-creation’ methods, that will be tested by farmers in the UK and across Europe.

Farmers will receive a £30 voucher for participating in the online session.
