Saving the last curlews of the Upper Thames

Curlews in the Upper Thames are on the brink and need our help. Wild Oxfordshire, a charity dedicated to supporting nature recovery action 'on the ground’, are leading a campaign, working with farmers and volunteers to turn their fortunes around.

Having already raised over £45,000, they need our support to reach their target of £50,000, which will help allow the charity to protect vulnerable Curlew nests and chicks in the Upper Thames for a further two years

These two curlew chicks were reared in the area this year.

Thank you to Jan Guilbride, Banbury Ornithological Society Curlew Recovery, for sharing this. Please do help spread the word on the fundraising efforts to save the curlew. There will be some people interested in curlews, and even if they don't feel able to contribute they may be able to pass on the information to someone else.
