Tim Field spoke to BBC News on the radio this morning, Friday 2nd February, about the closure of Long Compton Abattoir. Tim and Sarah Righton, of Old Farm Dorn, talked about the critical impact of losing a local, small abattoir at the heart of our Cluster.
To quote Tim, "Saving our local abattoir is more than the price of our food but it's the price of our local wildlife.... Smaller enterprises are dependent on small abattoirs; [which] are a pivotal point in sustainable agriculture."
