We're pleased to share that the all the work around the FiPL grant for the Windrush Floodplain Meadows restoration project has been completed for this financial year.

Restoration plans also have been drawn up for five additional sites for future work. Led by Anna Field of Glorious Cotswold Grasslands and Sarah Wells and Jennifer Gilbert of FWAG SW, this has proven an exciting concept that we're keen to keep expanding in the years ahead. The partnership meets on Thursday 30th April with the Cotswolds National Landscape to lay out our plans for the next phase. If you farm or manage land in the Windrush and are interested in getting involved, please do come forward, we'll be actively scoping new opportunities over the summer, so get in touch before the hay is made!

The other strand of Windrush work, led by Jack Knott of the Cotswolds Rivers Trust and manager of the Windrush Catchment Partnership and supported by Tom Hall of the cluster, has focused on natural flood management and wetland creation. Designs are now complete, laying out some fantastic opportunities across the catchment. The cluster will be working to engage members on both projects over the coming months - bringing more land and interest in, and working through how to finance future delivery. Watch this space, and don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to know more.
